Newcastle Chamber September Luncheon: Update from WSDOT on Eastside Highway Projects

September 13 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

$22 - $27
Print Friendly

Register Now for our monthly networking and learning luncheon.

Our Chamber luncheons provide a great opportunity to meet fellow businesspeople in Newcastle, while catching up on local news and events.
WSDOT will update us on all the highway construction projects affecting YOUR daily commute.
Here on the Eastside, and Newcastle in particular,  we are experiencing unprecedented gridlock on our roads and highways. Our Department of Transportation is addressing this issue with a number of projects designed to releive congestion and increase safety.  One example is the work being performed on the I-405/SR 167 interchange
The I-405/SR 167 interchange is one of the most heavily congested interchanges in the state. Today, drivers experience congestion in this area for up to eight hours each day.
WSDOT is building a new flyover ramp connecting the HOT lanes on SR 167 to the carpool lanes on I-405 in Renton. This ramp is designed to improve traffic flow and safety at this critical interchange.
WSDOT representatives will be taking questions from luncheon attendees.
Don’t miss this opportunity to both hear and ask questions from WSDOT on major funded projects currently in planning, design and construction, as well as potential next steps for other I-405 Master Plan improvements.
JOIN US! on Wed. September 13 – and Bring a Friend!  Chamber and Community members are encouraged to RSVP early,
 as seats will fill quickly.
