Newcastle Chamber December Luncheon: Aegis Gardens – Newcastle’s Jewel on the Lake
By Randy Ohlendorf, Executive Director Newcastle Chamber of Commerce on November 21, 2017 in Chamber lunch
Our Chamber luncheons provide a great opportunity to meet fellow businesspeople in Newcastle, while catching up on local news and events.
Aegis Gardens, designed to celebrate Chinese culture daily, through cuisine, decor, activities, family events, and music, is focused on a strong sense of tradition. Their bilingual care staff and nurses provide exceptional care for their residents, including those with memory care needs.
As you drive up to the community entrance you will be greeted by 2 Chinese guardian lions called Shi Shi Zi or Fu Shi. You’ll also find the rich wood tones of nature, married with elegant water features. Water is an important part of the architecture at Aegis Gardens, including the 7 Guardians water feature in the lobby and the pond with lotus flower which represents the 5 Feng Shui elements of Fire, Water, Earth, Wood and Metal.
This waterfront community is planned in harmony with the surrounding natural habitat. Spectacular views of the lake can be seen from the top floor lounge and south side apartments. The 3-acre property also includes an amphitheater to host live music and performances in this tranquil location.
